Graduate application materials for international applicants are collected by the International 招生办公室.  Admission to a graduate program must first be approved by the chair of the department in which the student plans to study. 经 department, admission decisions are approved by the college dean and The Graduate 学校.

Prospective international students must provide proof of English proficiency through 托福，雅思，PTE或iTEP考试. Some departments may require GRE, GMAT, or MAT. You should check your particular department to find out which exam is required for 你申请的课程的录取通知书. 

Applications will be forwarded to the academic department for review when all required 申请材料已提交. 这些物品应该在…之前收到 deadline date of the semester for which the student is applying.

Admission is competitive and based on a holistic review of the applicant’s credentials 的部门.  The University sets minimum requirements for regular admission into 研究生院，包括:

• Three letters of recommendation (upload to application file)
• Statement of Purpose or writing sample (according to departmental requirements)
• Immunization records (required prior to enrolling in classes if admitted)

Standardized tests are required for most applicants to any academic program at the 研究生和本科生. All applicants who are from countries other than the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, and certain Caribbean Islands, must submit scores from the 作为外语的英语考试 (托福考试), The International English Language Testing System (Academic) (雅思考试), 剑桥英语, 国际英语水平测试 Exam (Academic) (iTEP)，或培生英语测验(PTE), or meet one of the qualifying exceptions (see below).

The English proficiency requirement may be waived if the applicant has completed a post-secondary degree at an accredited university in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Nigeria, Ghana, or certain Caribbean 岛屿. 

The deadlines for filing international applications are as follows:

• 秋季入学(8月开始)- 5月1日
• Spring admission (January start date) – October 1

Applications must be received in 国际招生 on or before the deadline 考虑日期. Some departments have different deadlines for graduate applications. Graduate applicants should contact their major department for more information.

Graduate assistantships are awarded by the academic department to which you apply. 助教奖学金 are limited and are granted on a competitive basis. 如果你感兴趣的话 in applying for an assistantship it is recommended you submit a letter of interest 还有一份简历和你的申请材料. 助教奖学金包括学费 and non-resident fees, however, stipends awarded with assistantships usually are not 足够支付所有的生活费用. Many times funds from an outside source are necessary to supplement living expenses and to meet the estimated expenses necessary to be issued 一个I-20.

Students who have previously attended the university and have a break in attendance of one or more terms must file an application for readmission.
